From the report

Chinese energy storage manufacturer Hithium said on October 15 that its cumulative battery shipments had exceeded 200 GWh, marking a sharp acceleration in growth since the company began commercial deliveries in late 2021. The milestone was announced at its manufacturing site in Chongqing, southwestern China.

The 200 GWh figure represents cumulative shipments, rather than annual manufacturing capacity or the amount of battery storage installed and operating worldwide. Hithium reached its first 100 GWh in August 2025, nearly four years after initial shipments, and added another 100 GWh in approximately 14 months.

Founded in Xiamen in 2019, Hithium shipped 35.1 GWh of energy storage batteries in 2024, according to figures disclosed in its earlier Hong Kong listing application. Its global ranking rose from fifth in 2023 to third in 2024 and second in 2025, according to the company. InfoLink Consulting also ranked Hithium second behind CATL in global energy storage cell shipments in the first half of 2026.
