Immigration and the future of America: The choice between open borders and national sovereignty

From the report
America is approaching a defining moment in its immigration debate. The country must decide whether immigration policy will serve the interests of American citizens, preserve national sovereignty, and strengthen social cohesion-or continue to be shaped by political calculations, economic interests, and competing ideological agendas. For Republicans, this is not simply another policy disagreement. It is a fundamental question about the future direction of the nation.
The central challenge is that the two major political parties appear increasingly divided over immigration enforcement. Democrats are widely associated with more permissive immigration policies, while Republicans remain divided between those who favor stronger border controls and those who support a more traditional, business-oriented approach to immigration. If this division continues, immigration policy may become increasingly unstable, changing dramatically whenever political power shifts between administrations.
The Republican Party, therefore, must develop a clear and consistent immigration position. It cannot credibly promise stronger border security while simultaneously making exceptions whenever immigration enforcement affects politically influential individuals or sympathetic communities.
