Electricity Supply from RNPP to National Grid Within 5–6 Weeks

Electricity supply from the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant to the national grid is expected to begin within 5–6 weeks, if everything goes as planned. Science and Technology Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam said power generation would begin ensuring 100 percent safety.
He made the remarks at a press conference held at the Secretariat at the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The minister said power generation would start at 300 megawatts and gradually increase in phases.
