Gold Prices Drop in Bangladesh Market, Effective From Today

· Business

Following a drop in global gold prices, the Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) has decided to reduce prices domestically. The price of the finest quality 22-carat gold has been set at BDT 2,28,031 per Bhori (11.664 grams), a reduction of BDT 3,266.

BAJUS announced that these new prices became effective from 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 13.

The decision to lower prices was made during a meeting of the BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring. This information was subsequently communicated in a notification signed by the committee’s Chairman, Dr. Dewan Aminul Islam Shahin.
