Beyond New Machines: Reducing Production and Energy Costs Through Technology Adoption in Bangladesh’s Textile Industry
Bangladesh’s textile industry is at a critical crossroads. For decades, local textile and spinning mills have played a vital role in developing the country’s textile value chain by supplying yarn to the export-oriented garment sector. However, the economics of textile manufacturing have changed significantly. Technology adoption must therefore become a central pillar of the industry’s long-term strategy.
